Effects of Dietary Sodium Acetate on Growth Performance, Fillet Quality, Plasma Biochemistry, and Immune Function of Juvenile Golden Pompano (Trachinotus ovatus)

Six isonitrongenous and isolipidic diets were formulated to feed 360 fish (mean initial body weight: 6.06 ± 0.02 g) with graded levels of sodium acetate (SA1 (0), SA2 (250 mg/kg), SA3 (500 SA4 (1000 SA5 (2000 SA6 (4000 mg/kg)) for 8 weeks. The results revealed that weight gain rate, specific growth intake golden pompano significantly increased in treatments ( id="M2"> p < 0.05 ). Dietary SA level improved lipid contents gumminess muscle id="M3"> Supplement dietary influenced plasma biochemical parameters containing triglyceride, glucose, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, complements, immunoglobulin M id="M4"> Appropriate supplement enzyme activities hepatic superoxide dismutase total antioxidant capacity decreased malondialdehyde id="M5"> Furthermore, appropriate downregulated the expression Keap1, IL-8, TNF-α, NF-κB genes upregulated Nrf2 TGF-β spleen id="M6"> Excess caused negative effects Trachinotus ovatus. optimum juvenile was evaluated be 1423.67 mg/kg based on WGR.
